Nomak sat on the ground, his knees bent and arms resting on them. He ignored the other reapers around him, and they ignored him for the most part. His mind was focused on the small ring he was holding.
A gift, from father to son. Some gift. Some father. Some son. The ring was merely saying Nomak belonged to Damaskinos, was his property. His father wanted nothing more than to perfect the vampiric race by any means necessary, even spawning offspring that would be nothing more than lab rats. And he, he despise his "father" more than anything, more than himself even. If he let his hatred for his father go unchecked, he would go into spasms, his body shaking violently with the rage he could feel, burning as hot as his skin because of this disease coursing through her veins.
It won't be too much longer. I just have to find you, find where you hide. Then it all will come crashing down. The Daywalker won't try to protect you. He'll try to save the humans, but he won't try to save you. But then, he isn't here to save you, is he. I know you too well, Father. You want the Daywalker's blood. His power. His immunity to sunlight. The one thing I don't have, the one area where my mutation failed me. That's what you want. You need it even more now. You have an even bigger threat than Blade now. You're panicking.
Nomak closed his eyes, quieting his mind. He was starting to tremble, the raw anger becoming stronger with every mental word. He couldn't allow that. Who knew when the Daywalker would show up. When the Bloodpack would show up.
He had learned a lot though. He had known he was immune to weapons Blade had, all of them. And now he had more knowledge of fighting, he knew how Blade fought now. He was a quick study and a fast learner, and he had Blade down. The Daywalker may have a few surprises up his sleeve, but Nomak could predict some of them now.
Father always feared that about me. Always knew my mind, my ability to watch, copy, pick up traits I saw, it all made me something to watch carefully. A thing to watch carefully. I was nothing more than that to him. Just a thing, now an even more dangerous thing. A monster, a freak of vampiric nature. Blade's twisted, warped counterpart, feared even more so than the Daywalker by the vampires. Nomak smirked a this thoughts. Good. They should fear me. Especially Father. After all, I have nothing to lose, and everything to gain by their destruction.
The reaper strain carrier put his ring back on, the put his gloves back on and stood up. The other reapers scurried away from him, fearful he might be in a bad mood, but he ignored them still. He walked down the nearest tunnel, deciding he could use some peaceful rest away from those he had spawned. He was getting closer and closer to his ultimate goal, and he needed Blade to hurry and make his next move for that to happen.
