Ka-BOOM!
The heads of all the Bloodpack went up at the explosion that sounded through the warehouse. Priest’s first instinct was to draw his gun, and he noted that some of the others had done the same thing. Snowman’s hand rested on the hilt of his deadly sword. Everyone was looking at the general direction of the source of the explosion, tensely waiting for any enemy to come bursting through.
What, Priest thought, in the name of La Magra was that?

Verlaine's head had shot up at the sound of the explosion, her dark eyes wide. She had no idea what just happened, but she had a feeling it was either some sort of accident, or they were under attack.
I suppose we'll find out soon enough, won't we?

Priest glanced about, unsure of whether to proceed. Were they under attack? He had no idea. Had Blade’s new idea-man blown something up? He was equally in the dark about that.
He made up his mind; he was going to go check out the explosion out. He moved from the TV area and in the general direction of the blast, gun loaded and ready to fire. Just in case.

Verlaine hesitated only a moment, glancing around at her comrades, before she jumped up and followed Priest. She didn't know what was going on, but she wasn't going to let him go alone to find out.

Continued from The Lab with Priest
Verlaine quietly slipped back into the TV area, more than a little disappointed that there hadn't been trouble. She'd been itching for a fight, since there was little for them to do around here. She frowned, a hint of the nauseating smell from the lab still hanging in her nose, then nodded to her companions. "Nothing . . . Just a little . . . mishap with chemicals."

He snorted. "Could've blown us up, too. It smells like a whorehouse at low tide." He jabbed a thumb behind him, towards the lab.

Verlaine shook her head slightly, casting a sideways glance in Priest's direction. Leave it to him to come up with an analogy like that . . . With that thought, she moved back to where she'd been sitting before the explosion.

Priest reclaimed the place that he'd taken before going to explore the explosion. He was almost disappointed that it hadn't been an attack. They'd be inactive for a while now; his trigger-finger was getting, well, itchy.
He knew full well that the Daywalker wasn't to be hurt by any of the Bloodpack; that would have to wait until the reaper threat was dealt with.
They had trained for two years to take out the Daywalker and here they were, paired up in an unlikely and uneasy alliance with him. The irony wasn't lost on him.
Still, he wouldn't have minded if he got the chance to blow something's head off.

Verlaine bit back a soft sigh as she returned to her seat, her hands settling uneasily in her lap. She really didn't like just sitting here, and from the looks on the faces of her companions, neither did they. They had all been trained to be out there, DOING something - not just sitting around, waiting for something to happen. She frowned, her gaze drifting over the other members of the Blood Pack, and gave a very soft sigh.

Priest couldn’t help but fidget in his seat. Dusk was approaching, he could feel it in his bones. And once night came, they could go reaper hunting. The sooner the reapers were exterminated, the sooner the Bloodpack could shift their sights on their original intended target.
Besides, reaper-hunting meant that he could kill something. And killing something was always good.
He fidgeted again, willing night to come quicker.

After a long while of just WAITING for dusk to fall, Verlaine couldn't take it a moment longer. Her sanity was going to go if she didn't get up and DO something . . . ANYTHING. Biting back an exasperated sigh, she rose from where she'd been sitting and stalked toward the door, not sure where she was going, but knowing she had to go SOMEWHERE . . .

Snowman wanted to fidget.
It was never in his character to do so and his training had thought him patience; but seeing as how the lack of activity had made the rest of the Bloodpack restless, he could not help but feel restless as well.
The explosion had provided a welcome distraction, but now that night was here, he was eager to get going. He hopped off his seat as Verlaine headed out the door. He had no real intention of following her, but he needed the night air to refresh his mind, mostly. The stench of daywalker and human was unfamiliar to him, and he would be lying if he said he liked it.
He could tolerate it, of course, but still. Fresh air would do him much good.
